How to Apply for a Philippines Visit/Tourist Visa
Philippines embassy accepts only paper visa applications. Applicant can submit temporary visitor’s visa for business directly at the Consular Section of the Philippines embassy or through a travel agent. Visa applications submitted by mail or by courier are not accepted.
- Either a valid (used or unused) American (US), Japanese, Australian, Canadian, Schengen, United Kingdom, or Singaporean multiple-entry visa or permanent residence permit;
- An Indian passport valid at least six (6) months beyond the date of departure from the Philippines;
- Return or onward ticket to the next country of destination; and
- No derogatory record with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration.
The fourteen (14) day, visa-free entry may be extended by an additional seven (7) days with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration for a maximum stay of twenty-one (21) days but is non-convertible to other visa categories.
How to apply
Step 1
Submitting the visa application
After collating the documents required for the Visit/Tourist visa you can submit the documents directly at the Consular Section at the Philippines embassy or through a travel agent.
Applicants submitting in Person: The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Philippines accepts visa applications from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM Monday to Fridays, except during Philippine/Indian holidays and other special days when the consular section would have to be closed.
Step 2
After you submit the online application
Regular Processing: Barring unforeseen circumstances or the need for additional requirements, you can collect your passport on the third working day from the date of submission from 10:30 to 11:30 AM Monday to Fridays. Saturday, Sunday and Philippine/Indian holidays except during Philippine/Indian holidays and other special days when the consular section will be closed will not be counted as processing days. For example, when an application is submitted on a Thursday, the applicant or his authorized representative may return on Monday morning to collect the passport. Your claim stub should also indicate the date and time of collection of your passport.
Fast Tracked Processing: Approved visas may be released on the same day it was applied (same day release) or on the second working day (following day release). Same-day release is from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. Following day release is from 10:30 to 11:30 of the next working day.
The request for an early release of your passport must be communicated to the Consular Personnel upon submission of the visa application form. Otherwise, the request for early release may not be accommodated.
