How to Apply for a Chile Work Permit
Foreign nationals after obtaining a job offer or work a contract from Chile, should request a work visa in their native country.
The job offer/contract should be signed before a notary in Chile and this contract should be legalised from your home country.
All the personal documents of the applicant and dependents should be legalised before submitting the online application.
How to apply
Step 1
Submission of online visa application from your native country
After receiving your original notarized employment contract you need to submit your online visa application. All your personal documents should be legalised for the Chile work permit process.
The documents should be attached in PDF format and specific naming convention should be followed; for example, the Passport should be named as “YourLastNameFirst NamePassport.
Step 2
Visa Approval
Once the application is accepted you will get a notification to appear for the visa interview at the Chile embassy. You need to carry all the original documents while you go for the interview.
You will be notified after the visa stamping and the passport can be collected from the embassy.
The visa approval process can take upto 30 to 45 days.
