Germany Job Seekers Visa
Germany is looking for skilled workforce in the country as the nation is coming out of the coronavirus pandemic. Germany has the fourth largest national economy and has one of the lowest unemployment rates within the EU. Particularly attractive for young talented professionals as the country has the lowest youth unemployment rate (6%) among all 27 EU member states.

The German job seeker visa is short-term residence permit, which allows applicants to live in Germany and look for a job. Qualified applicants can be granted a temporary residence permit for up to six months in order to seek employment. If at the end of the six months they have found a place of employment, they are eligible to apply for a work permit or the EU Blue Card.

To obtain a visa for job seekers for Germany, the following requirements apply:

• a bachelor or master’s degree from a German university or an equivalent foreign degree;

• a minimum of 5 years of experience in the related field of study;

• proof of sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your stay in Germany;

• travel or medical insurance for the entire stay in Germany or until a work permit is obtained;

Schedule an appointment for your visa interview at the competent German Mission or application center. Make sure you arrive on time for your appointment and have your documents prepared and in order as per the checklist.

Step 5 – Pay the Visa Fee

Shortly before your appointment, please verify the current exchange rate for your visa fee:

The German Mission accepts only Demand Draft from nationalized banks for visa payment. The Demand Draft must not be older than 2 months. The Demand Draft should be issued in favour of Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, New Delhi (if application is submitted in New Delhi) or Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Location (for other locations).
